Executive Chef Daniel Villanueva is the founder and moving spirit behind Flavors with Love™.  Having been raised mostly by his always-cooking grandmother, Chef Daniel was exposed to a variety of unusual flavors at a young age. He spent five years in Germany before moving to the United States and assimilating his heritage as a Texas Indian.

Surrounded by rare products of the earth and methods for cooking them, Daniel quickly began to think outside of the box when it came to food.

When Chef Daniel was fifteen years old, his uncle set him up with a job washing dishes; he calls it “a fluke,” but this was the chef’s meaningful introduction to a professional kitchen. Once he found his arena, Daniel promptly switched from water and dishes to fire and pans. 

Chef Daniel started working for the River Rock at Dick’s Resort, and before he knew it, he was cooking whole chickens and racks of ribs.
