Mother – Son Dance

April 1, 2008

This is my daughter’s last year in Elementary school.  So I have been trying to participate even more.  In November of ’07 there was a “Father Daughter Dance” and I volunteered to cater the Dance for her school.  On February 9th the school hosted another Dance this time it was a  “Mother Son Dance and I had the honor of catering this event also.  Preparing a delicious array of food , there was slow roasted beef drizzled with root beer BBQ sauce and a wonderful caesar salad that my daughter helped prepare to name just a small part of the evenings menu.  These are the moments I cherish, creating food and spending time with my daughter

Photoshoot catering in Beverly Hills

March 29, 2008

I recently had the pleasure of feeding Michelle Mone and her husband Michael at an elite photoshoot in a Beverly Hills mansion.  Michelle, with a list of many great recognitions under her belt, is the inventor of the Ultimo bra, known world wide.  We had a wonderful time serving up designer salads with watermelon, mixed greens and avocado dressing.  Also on the menu was Barramundi Sea Bass that melted like butter and grilled chicken so tender, topped off with a little tomato, basil, garlic and olive oil… simple love.  The best part for me is that they loved my food! I am so happy to have shared such tasty food with such spirited friends on this photoshoot for MJM International.Thank you,Chef Daniel

Hors d 'oeurves...grilled Shrimp and Brie en Croute....

Wow! I have been asked to cater a staff party for Premier Events at the Vine Bar in Hollywood.   My friend Monica who owns the Vine Bar has asked me to put together a spread of hors d’oeuvres for this celebration. Our menu is an array of spicy sushi rolls to grilled Zucchini wrapped Vanilla Goat Cheese with Radicchio and baby Arugula but I think the Chicken Wings with a Whiskey B.B.Q sauce will be a hit for sure… I will definitely let you know how this one turns out!

Happy Birthday Mr. Tartakovsky!

January 17, 2008

What an honor to cook for Mr. Tartakovsky and his family in celebration of his Birthday.  I have to admit that I was a little nervous cooking for this Emmy award winning Animation Director.  But all was well after I saw the satisfied smiles from family and friends enjoying some appetizers; grilled shrimp with my signature Roasted Garlic Lemon sauce and a Greek Olive Tapenade on Crostini.  It also looked as though everyone was truly enjoying the delicious cuts of their Ribeye steaks.  This was an exciting night for everyone including the dogs that enjoyed all the aromas coming from the kitchen.

Radford Hall – Sherman Oaks, California

Collage from Radford Hall

A true inspiration of life at Radford Hall… genuine people with a genuine need for Flavors at this business conference held to raise money for a private organization.

The Texas roots of this Chef were brought out when creating the menu for this event.  We served Tri Tip cover with a Sun dried Tomato Gravy, an exotic and very tasty mix of Pomegranate Juice and Chipotle Peppers smothered chicken, Roasted Rutabagas mixed with French Green Beans our very popular Organic Brown Rice with Leek and Tomato. Oh, and let’s not forget about the mixed Berry Cobbler with biscuit crust that our guests could not get enough of.

This was a splendid night of food and celebration for all.
